This speed controller has tons of features. I think that it is sturdier than the sabertooth. But I am using it a spare right now, because I don't have enough time to figure everything out to be sure about using it in my robot. Not having leads for a receiver is good and bad. It is kind of a pain to have to use a male to male connector, but I ensures a more reliable connection than the flimsy connections on the sabertooth. Also I liked how the screw terminals were much sturdier compared to the sabertooth's, that twisted all over the place. Another good feature is the thick heat sink, because it protects the bottom side. Don't think that all the features will make it confusing, because if you read the section of the manual that applies to what you are using it for, you can configure the DIP switch in a few minutes.
