SCOOTER / GO KART / EV BICYCLE STARTER PACKAGE
We get a lot of requests from customers putting together their own small EV vehicle, such as scooters, go carts, and EV bicycles. This is the setup we usually recommend. Just add batteries, wheels, sprockets/chains, and your frame, and you're ready to roll!

S28-400 Gearmotor
This is the most popular motor for small EV vehiclces mainly because of its small size, extreme power, and excellend efficiency. Typically you should use one of these per driven wheel, of course the more you use, the faster and more powerful your vehicle! See the full specifications on these motors here.

Aluminum Heat Sink Motor Mounts
Prolonged runtime of the Magmotors can cause them to really heat up. Help dissipate this heat using these heatsink motor mounts, while providing a solid mount to secure them to your frame. You should get a set of 2 to support each motor. Read more about these mounts here.
IFI Thor SC Speed Controller
This is the speed controller that will electronically tell your motor how fast to go. Please note that the "SC" is a single-direction controller, so if you need to have reverse in your vehicle, you should upgrade to the Thor 883. Also note that the SC requires special wiring, so be sure to read the user's manual before hooking it up! Read more about this controller here.
Variable speed adjuster (servo tester)
Unless you're going to use an RC radio/receiver to control your vehicle, you need to be able to adjust the speed to your motor controller by hand. This is achieved using this "servo tester", which hooks directly to the Thor speed controller above, letting you turn the dial to adjust the speed. You can then build your own throttle control with thumb-lever or twist-grip by running a cable to the potentiometer or via other linkage. Read more about the servo tester here.

5V Voltage Regulator
The servo tester above needs to have a 5V battery input. If you don't want to run a separate small 5V battery pack, you should grab one of these voltage regulators. It takes your main battery power (from 7V-32V) and outputs a clean 5V that the servo tester needs. Hook it up past your main power switch so that when you turn off the master power, the regulator switches off the servo tester too.

Hella Master Power Switch
You need a heavy duty power switch to connect/disconnect your batteries so that the electronics are not powered on when not in use. This switch is rated at handling 100A continuous and rush current of 1000A!
Read more about this switch here.
20 feet of 10 gauge wire
You'll need some heavy duty wire for the powerful Magmotors. As long as you're not running over 5-9 feet of length, 10ga wire will do fine. You get 10 feet each of red and black (20 feet total) Read more about this wire here.
Base Price: $690
