ULTRALIGHT ANTWEIGHT PACKAGE
This package is intended to get you jump-started, saving you the time involved in hunting around for all the right parts before even starting to build.

These parts are selected to work well for a four-wheel-drive, 1 pound robot. With this complete package, you will have all the main components ready to go*. Simply hook everything together, and you'll be driving your bot around soon!

For a battle-ready antweight, all you'll need to provide on your own, beyond this package, are the following items (all of which you could pick up at your local hardware store and electronics store):

- Fasteners (nuts, bolts and wire connectors) Don't be afraid to use hot glue or even duct tape on your antweight!
- A weapon (optional)

 

Ultralight Antweight Chassis
This is a perfect start for your robot. Designed specifically for the parts you see on this page, this is the chassis, frame, and armor, all in one! The default is the 3/4" thick, closed-frame chassis, but you can select others to fit your design. See the full specifications on this chassis here.

ABS Plate for Ultralight Chassis cover
To protect your valuable electronics inside, you need a nice tough cover. Choose 1 plate if you have the closed-chassis, or two plates for top and bottom of your open-chassis. Read more about this plate here.
Fastener set for Titanium Plate
To fasten your titanium plate to the chassis, you need these 4-40 screws. One set of 10 is enough for one plate. If you are using multiple plates, you need more fastener sets.
4 xSanyo 50:1 NA5S Micro Geared Motors
These are some of the lightest gearmotors you can find, and yet they are incredibly powerful at a great speed. This package includes four (4) of these NA5S motors. Read more about these motors here.
Ultra-Light Wheels
These are some great, grippy and very light wheels (only about 2 grams each!). Choose from several different styles. You get a set of four (4) wheels, which will press right onto the Sanyo motor output shaft. Read more about these motors here.
Scorpion HX Speed Controller
To control your motors, you need a good speed controller. This dual channel controller hooks to all four motors (2 per side) and your radio receiver, providing single stick 'mixing' operation without an expensive transmitter with an onboard computer. This model also adds a third AUX channel to control a weapon motor off the same unit. This controller includes three soldered RC connectors as pictured. Read more about this controller here.
7.4V LiPoly battery
This Antweight kit will run great with this 7.4V, 2 cell, 730mAh Thunderpower Lithium-Polymer battery pack. This is a great, high quality and very lightweight battery. Read more about these batteries here. Please note you MUST use a LiPoly charger for this battery!

Laser 4 - 75Mhz FM Radio Control System
You need a good radio to drive your antweight robot. This radio control system is powerful, but inexpensive. Note that this radio does not provide mixing- where you drive with one stick, so if you want single-stick driving control, you will either need to activate the mixing feature on the Ant 100 controller (built-in), or add in a separate elevon mixer.

This radio includes a receiver that only weighs 38 grams. Read more about this radio system here.

This kit also comes with a power switch that is a perfect match to use for your Antweight's master power to the Antpack battery, as well as to provide a charging jack, at no extra cost. If you don't want to use the switch from the radio kit, you need to buy an extra one here. It also includes a receiver battery pack (which you won't need, because the Ant 100 supplies the power to your receiver).

Micro Receiver
This is an ultra-small receiver to communitcate with your robot from the above Radio system. You need a special "Single Conversion" crystal (also included below). Read more about this receiver here.

Single-Conversion Receiver Crystal
This is the Single-Conversion crystal you will need to use with the above Micro Receiver. When purchased with this package, we will be sure to match the same channel as what comes with your radio system, also included in this package. Read more about this crystal here.

EFlite Celectra LiPoly Battery Charger
You need a special charger to recharge LiPoly batteries. This charger is a great inexpensive solution. IMPORTANT NOTE: If you have selected an 11.1V battery pack instead of the standard 7.4V, you need to upgrade to the 1-3 Celectra, 109, 2500, or Triton charger! Read more about these chargers here.
Astroflight 13A Power Supply
To power the above charger off a standard AC outlet, you need a DC Power Supply. This inexpensive and compact solution will power your charger wherever you can plug into a standard household outlet. Read more about this power supply here.
