Ant 150 Users Guide

Ant 150 Dual 5A plus15A AUX Speed Controller with connectors
Part# LB-ANT150-2

The Ant 150-02 R/C Robot Controller offers unparalleled control, functionality and reliability for your creation with dual motor drive with optional mixing (single stick), exponential curve (improves controllability) and a FLIP input that corrects motor drive output for robots that are invertible. The ANT 150-02 controller adds a 15A variable AUX switch to the ANT100 model.  Otherwise the specifications are mostly the same.

Specifications:
- 1-1/2" sq board , weight is only 8 grams (16 grams with cables & connectors- 0.5 oz), 1-1/4" hole pattern for 4-40 bolts.
- 5-14 cell NiCad or NiMh input  (6V - 16.8V) OR 2-7 cell LiPoly
- Left/Right drive rated for 2.0 amps each, 5 amp peak. Fully protected against overloads and shorts.
- Selectable channel mixing for single stick control.
- Selectable exponential transfer curve for greater control.
- +5v power supplied to radio. (Battery elimination circuit -BEC)
- Ultra efficient driver needs no heat sink.
- Advanced switching for precise control at low speeds.
- FLIP input for automatic drive correction of invertible robots compatible with R/C signals OR contact closure (cable not included).
- Status LED indicating signal presence for each channel or fault conditions with drivers (over temperature, over current or disconnected motor)
- Aux channel (Ant 150 only) rated for 15A peak, 8A continuous.  Variable 0-100% power with forward stick (on on-off with switch or button).

On board channel mixing and exponential control allows inexpensive AM and FM ground radios to perform like the expensive computerized radios.  In addition, the ANT controller have  robust input signal processing for reliable robot control.  If the signal is corrupted or lost the robot will shut down within 1/2 second

AUX weapon channel (Ant 150 only) has safety lock: control must be neutral or reverse stick before output enabled.

The ANT boards are designed to perform without a heat sink: the board has a heavy 2 oz copper ground plane that acts as the heat sink.  The driver chips are mounted on the bottom of the board so that it may be bolted to a heat sink (e.g. robot chassis) to extend the power dissipation capacity.  To learn more about power handling capabilities of the ANT boards, please read the users guides.
