These shafts,
specially designed for use in the Dustin 2 motor,
are 5/8", 1018 steel shafts are 6 inches long and come standard with
a 3/16" keyway the full length. You may customize the shaft to be longer
than you need for only $1 per extra inch over the standard 6".
The end of
the shaft has been machined to mate perfectly inside the new gearbox of the Dustin
2 motor. (If you are not using the Dustin 2 motor, you will need to convert
your existing DeWALT with the Gear Box conversion
kit
Note
when ordering your 5/8" shaft, the first 1.25" of the shaft will
be inside the front of the Dustin 2 motor, so you might want to order a slightly
longer shaft than usual.
