This Planetary Gear Box is a VERY durable, precise, high quality gearbox with a RE-260 motor built into the gearbox. A wide range of gear ratios can be attained, depending on how many stages you decide to add (8 different possibilities!). Two kinds of crank arms are supplied for a wider range of functions.

Buy multiple motor kits and you can combine stages to further increase torque and decrease speed. 3 kits in series would provide 1 shaft revolution every 4 days! Great for experimenting with gear ratios. Some assembly required.

    Weight: 2.75 oz
Ratios include 4, 5, 16, 20, 25, 80, 100, and 400:1 (each change will reduce the overall weight as you remove a section)
No-load speed of motor is 10,500 rpm, stall torque is 15gcm @ 3V (no geardown)
    Current: 1.0A @ 3V
can be run safely up to 8.4V

Yesterday, I'm hopefully going to be able to use this to drive a sprocket for a homemade Bbq spit. It would however be very beneficial if the size of the output shaft was listed on the product description. Also if it were possible to buy individual segments instead of a whole engine\transmission assembly it would save $ and be ideal for those of us who create things.

I needed a geared-down relatively slow RPM motor/gearbox for an invention, and I wasn't sure what the necessary speed would be. This motor gave me the flexibility to experiment with gear ratios, plus a range of DC voltages to vary speeds. This flexibility works out well for me. Quality is very high for plastic moldings. I would definitely buy again.
